The Hotel Fabric in Paris is a modern 4-star design hotel located near the Place de la République and the Place de la Bastille in the 11th arrondissement. Situated on the right bank of the river Seine, the 11th arrondissement is a very lively district full of small secondhand shops, arts and crafts workshops, bars, fruit sellers, bakeries and delicatessen shops.
The building of the Hotel Fabric used to be a textile factory. The design is inspired by this history and its colourful past. Much of the period structure and architectural details have been retained: the metallic framework, brick-built walls and the large, multi-paned windows. Occupying 4 floors, the Fabric hotel boasts 33 comfortable rooms. Prices range from approximately 150 to 250 Euros. The hotel offers four room categories: Club, Superior, Deluxe and Top Floor. The rooms offer the same level of facilities and differ mainly in their size.
I particularly liked the stylish lobby with its round crystal lamps, the cement tiles, the wooden furniture, the oak table and the comfortable leather Chesterfield. Authentic period decorative items were sourced from dealers in the Oberkampf district’s Popincourt. The beautiful breakfast buffet furniture was reclaimed from a former notions and haberdashery in the Vosges.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Fabric very much – with one exception: there was a strange smell in the bathroom, which got more intense in the evening. I think this is due to a plumbing problem.

We had dinner at the Atelier des Artistes, a nearby restaurant. The food was good and the interior design quite original. Website: http://atelierdesartistes.net/
My room number 104 was a lovely room decorated in orange. The bed was of excellent quality. It also had two small desks.
Very original: the wardrobe is made out of a wooden box.
My favourite part of the hotel: the stylish lobby and breakfast room.
The continental breakfast buffet is good. Take your time and enjoy the design during breakfast.
The rooms are quiet, but you hear the showers in the adjacent room.
You can also workout and have a massage at the hotel.
The bathroom is quite spacious.

The hallway with the stylish carpet and the yellow lamps. You immediately feel at ease in the hotel.
