Sofia Boutella, one of the best female hip hop and breakdance dancers in the world, stars in the editorial “Performance” of NumÃ©ro’s February 2013 issue. NumÃ©ro is one of the best fashion magazines known for its excellent shoots and style.
The black and white editorial was shot by French cult photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino. The pictures are awesome and Sofia Boutella is breathtaking. An exotic beauty who expresses femininity, sexiness, glamour and self-confidence with her movements.
Sofia Boutella was born in Algeria on April 3, 1982. She started taking ballet classes at the age of 5. She moved with her family to France when she was 10. There she started rhythmic gymnastics, and joined the French national team for the Olympics at the age of 18. A few years before, she had taken up hip hop and street dance, and was part of a dance group called Vagabond Crew, which won the World Championship Hip Hop battle in 2006.
In 2006, she became a Nike girl and signed a contract with the sports brand for several ad campaigns and commercials. She was also chosen by Madonna as a dancer for her Confessions World Tour. Sofia has also been working as a dancer alongside stars like Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Jamiroquai and Mariah Carey.
In 2012, she played the leading role in the film “StreetDance 2”. In the meantime she has even become lead dancer in Madonna’s dance crew.
