My favourite fashion show in London? Peter Pilotto’s and Christopher De Vos’ fall/winter collection 2013/14. The creations are simply awesome.
I’m a huge fan of 3-D printing and geometric wrap skirts. Therefore, I would wear Pilotto’s elaborate clothes every single week. For the new season, the designer duo focuses on bold colours like matador red and yellow, black and white, embroidery, printed puffer jackets, great pencil dresses in kaleidoscopic patterns, full-skirt dress silhouette, and an inventive construction that utilizes 3-D printing techniques.
“We wanted to explore our universe. It’s always about the painting and here it was the idea that the embroidery was like thick brushstrokes,” said the pair. “It was about being mysterious and dark, but also about colour appeal,” they added.
