Fashion Meets Art: Jean-Pierre Braganza’s amazing Fall/Winter 2014/15 collection is a tribute to Artemisia Gentileschi, a famous Italian Baroque painter (1593-1656). His show was among the best in London in February 2014.
Jean-Pierre was born in London, but grew up in Canada. He studied fine art in Canada before moving to London to study fashion at the world-famous Central St Martins School. On graduation he worked with French fashion designer Roland Mouret in Paris, perfecting his tailoring and draping skills.
In 2004, Jean-Pierre Braganza launched his own label at London Fashion Week. He has been invited to show at international fashion weeks including Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin, Toronto and Kiev. Braganza was also selected by Karl Lagerfeld as his protégé for the Fall/Winter 2008/09 season after winning the Australian Wool Innovation Award.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of this young talented fashion designer!
