GIVENCHY: FASHION SHOW SPRING 2013

Let it be light! No more darkly romantic or gothic looks, no more Rottweiler prints. Riccardo Tisci’s new spring and summer collection 2013 for Givenchy is an homage to the house’s founder, Hubert de Givenchy, and his Parisian couture of the sixties.

Slim silhouettes, couture cuts, sharp tailoring, elegant ruffles and voluminous bishop sleeves. Tisci’s new collection is so glamorous and chic! The show opened with a powder-blue dress and mock turtleneck, one sleeve and a soft ruffle framing the shoulders and body. The main colors were black and white, baby blue, pale beige and shades of grey. Collars were emphasized with thick metal chokers. I particularly liked the triple-layered pieces for which the designer is known as well as the organza ruffles that were pinned down by gold and silver clips at the shoulders or in the middle of the back.
